The reformer is a machine consisting of a sliding carriage with springs, bars and straps. It is a very versatile piece of equipment. You can lie, kneel and stand on it and adjust the tension of the springs to create the ultimate workout.

The reformer allows your body to move through a full range of motion, and exercises can be adapted for all body sizes and different skill levels.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced practitioner, we have classes to suit.

Start with the Basics classes, to get the movement foundations and familiarise yourselves with the machines.

REFORMER CLASSES

Reformer Classes

Beginners & Improvers

  • Reformer Basics is a foundation level class. Perfect for beginners and anyone looking for a slower, more restorative, less challenging class.

Our Basics class is ideal if you are returning to Pilates following injury, rehab or surgery. It’s also a good option for regular clients to review their technique and remind themselves of the key foundation pilates moves.

  • Restorative classes are for our clients looking for a more gentle class, whether you’re a regular who wants a slower paced class, returning from injury, are new to pilates yet nervous to start classes.

  • Reformer All Levels is for clients with some experience with Reformer Pilates. We recommend booking only if you have attended at least 5 Basics classes and have a clear understanding of the reformer set up and the basic foundation exercises.

All Levels classes feature more challenging options for those who want to increase the intensity.

Regular Reformers

  • Dynamic Pilates classes are for those of you who have knowledge of the basic repertoire and are confident movers, looking for a fast paced class that challenges both your mind and body.

  • Intermediate / Advanced classes are dynamic and strong classes, including exercises for those that are already proficient on the reformer. It is essential that you have been attending All Levels classes regularly with all of our teachers, and have a deep understanding of the reformer repertoire and are ready for that next stage.

You should have a good understanding of how to stabilise your core during the exercises in order to execute the exercises safely and with control.

Unsuitable for beginners or those with or recovering from injury.

Please email us or speak to your regular All Levels teacher before joining this class.
