Our Team

We pride ourselves on working with Pilates instructors who have trained with the top globally recognised pilates training institutes. All of our teachers have gone through rigorous training and exam certifications and continue their professional development to provide safe and knowledgable instruction for our clients.

Our instructors are passionate about movement and have many years of experience to share with you. We encourage our clients to attend different classes to gather as much knowledge about their body and movement as they can from the wealth of knowledge our instructors provide.

  • Rachel Stephenson

    Founder of The Reformery, Rachel is a knowledgeable and experienced instructor with over 14 years of teaching practice. She has a great understanding of anatomy and movement and is highly skilled at helping her clients understand how to execute the Pilates repertoire safely and effectively.

    In Rachel’s classes she will encourage you to move with precision in each exercise through the use of anatomical reference and education.

    Be it a gentle back pain class or strength and conditioning in a more athletic class, in Rachel’s classes you can expect to activate muscles that you quite often didn’t even know existed.

    Rachel qualified originally in Matwork through the Pilates Foundation, renowned for their high standards and comprehensive approach, Pilates Foundation Accredited training is extensive and rigorous with a minimum of 450 training hours over a period of 12 months.

    She then went on to gain further qualifications in Reformer Pilates through the world class STOTT Pilates.

    Rachel teaches contemporary style of Pilates and has the knowledge and experience to modify exercises for all levels of client ability with safety, skill and precision. 

  • Vincente Panesar

    Vincente, teacher and The Reformery Studio Manager, was first introduced to Pilates while working at one of the biggest dance companies in Canada, Marie Chouinard.

    After sustaining an injury whilst running, she started to practice reformer pilates. By the time she recovered, she was hooked.

    Pilates has helped her improve her performance and to find balance and coordination in her everyday life. It is through these body discoveries that she realised she wanted to share her passion for Pilates with others and went on to receive her Reformer Pilates training certification with Polestar Pilates.

    Polestar is the gold standard in teacher training. The approach is holistic and trains teachers to assess the whole person; physically, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually.

  • Clare Williams

    Claire did her Mat & Reformer training with with Polestar Pilates. The Gold Standard, Polestar equips teachers with the practical skills needed to become a teacher of the highest calibre.

    Clare will teach you to move your spine and body in an efficient way to help with every aspect of your daily life. Her classes are upbeat, dynamic and fun.

    Her life has always incorporated fitness. In her earlier years, she was a member of the Great Britain diving team, winning bronze at the Junior Europeans.

    10 years ago, after being diagnosed with arthritis of her lumbar spine she discovered Pilates. She was suffering from back pain on a daily basis, incorporating Pilates into her fitness routine has made her spine feel twenty years younger.

    She is also on the Polestar Pilates UK education team as a Mat Pilates mentor.

  • Irena Karapetyan

    Irena has been teaching Pilates to groups and individuals since 2017, including to pre and postnatal women, which she is very passionate about. She trained with Polestar and Mama’s Pilates and is a mentor for the Polestar Pilates UK teacher training courses. 

    For Irena, Pilates was initially a stress and back/knee pain buster while she worked long hours as a solicitor, as she delved deeper into the method over the years, became fascinated to discover how and why it was so beneficial for our physical and emotional well-being.

    To her, Pilates is a method for weathering the storms of every stage in our life and is extremely effective in preventing/minimising pain, restoring and maintaining our physical and mental functions, so that we can meet whatever challenges life throws at us from a place of stability and inner wisdom.

  • Kate Bishop

    Kate Bishop

    Kate trained with STOTT Pilates and The Pilates Foundation and has been teaching Pilates for 12 years in boutique studios and gyms across London.

    Kate’s reformer and mat classes are dynamic in flow and she also teaches Pilates for Rehab, holding qualifications in Pre/Post Natal and Breast Cancer and Shoulder rehab.

    She also works with the Tower and Cadillac studio equipment and also Ballet Fitness.

    When she is not teaching, Kate enjoys inventing new recipes and hiking in the Chiltern Valleys.

  • Val Godfriaux

    Val’s Pilates journey began 15 years ago when a demanding City job led to persistent back issues. Seeking relief, she discovered Pilates as a remedy for her back and an effective way to reduce stress.

    After years of personal practice, she decided to turn her love of Pilates into her career, gaining her Mat and Reformer qualifications with Polestar Pilates. Polestar Pilates has a global reputation as the most scientifically sound curriculum setting the standard in Pilates education.

    Val is passionate about sharing the Pilates transformative power and all-round goodness. With meticulously planned classes, blending intelligent movement, mobilisation, strength and targeted fascia release, she has creates a fun and varied Pilates experience.

  • Amy Micheal

    Amy began practicing Pilates at the behest of her osteopath for rehabilitation after major injury and to manage chronic pain.  It made such an incredible impact, that she was inspired to give up her media career after 20 years and retrain to become an instructor.  Empathetic in practice, with a knack for getting more out of you than you think is possible,  Amy will help you achieve fitness goals and overcome injury to get back to being fabulous.

  • Jill Everett

    Jill Everett

    Jill has been teaching pilates for for 20+ years, across mat and all of the Pilotes equipment as comprehensive teacher.

    She completed her original professional trainings with Body Control Pilates and Pilates Foundation way back when there were not any other choices.

    She continued her training studying classical pilates with first and 2nd generation teachers in NYC and LA .

    Jill teaches both classical and contemporary styles of pilates, preferring classical repertoire creating feel good classes full of fun and challenges and new learnings.

  • Aurora Lauriola

    Aurora is originally from South Italy and before becoming a Pilates instructor she trained as a Ballet and Contemporary dancer in Italy and then in England.

    Because of her dance background she has always been involved in movement and fitness and she decided to deepen her knowledge and passion for Pilates in 2020 going to train with STOTT PILATES®.

    She is very passionate about teaching and inspiring others and cannot wait to share with others the benefits that Pilates brings to people’s body and minds.

    Her classes are challenging but achievable and her goal is for students to find that mind-body connection and self-awareness while engaging and strengthening the whole body.
